So, what is therapy?

Therapy is a space to come home to yourself. It’s a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with your own inner knowing. Whether you’re navigating a transition, carrying something heavy, or seeking clarity, therapy offers a steady and supportive relationship to help you move through it.

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to feel informed and supported every step of the way.

Our work starts with a 15–20 minute free consultation call, where we briefly connect to see if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, the first one or two sessions are dedicated to understanding what brings you in—your history, current challenges, and hopes for therapy.

From there, sessions are shaped collaboratively. I’ll check in regularly about what’s feeling supportive and what might need adjusting. You can expect a blend of modalities tailored to your needs. Some sessions might include mindful reflection or somatic practices to help regulate your nervous system. Others may be more focused on patterns of thinking or behavior using tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Most sessions we will bring in a form of mindfulness that works well for you. I often draw from narrative therapy to help you explore the stories you’ve been living by—and whether they still fit.

Therapy doesn’t last forever. When the time feels right, we’ll talk about what wrapping up looks like for you. Some clients feel complete after a short-term series of sessions; others prefer ongoing, long-term support. Either way, the conclusion of therapy is intentional and guided by your readiness, growth, and goals.

Therapy is for you. I walk beside you—not to lead, but to help you find your footing, pause for breath, celebrate how far you’ve come and bask in the view.
